Camellia Teas of Ottawa provides presentations, demonstrations and exhibitions celebrating all Tea Cultures of the World.
With a special focus on the traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony known as Cha-no-yu, Camellia House (a private residence, open by appointment only) and its Temae (Tea practitioners) welcome guests to experience the tranquility of this ancient practice.
The CTO practitioners follow The Way of Tea in one of the three cha-shitsu (Tea rooms) at Ochakai (Tea gatherings) within Camellia House.
Camellia Teas of Ottawa was established in 2005 by Rebecca Lyn Cragg (nee Benoit) of Ottawa, ON, Canada. For seven years, Rebecca was trained in the Omote-Senke Way of Tea by Mrs. Eiko Kuwayama at a Zen Temple called Sango-ji in Wakayama City, Japan.
